This call started with something simple: flies kept showing up near the back door and kitchen area.
At first, it did not seem like a major issue. The homeowner was only seeing a few flies during the day, mostly around the trash area, patio and nearby window. But after taking a closer look, we could tell the problem was not just random flies coming in from outside.
A lot of fly issues start this way. You notice a few, then a few more and before long, it feels like they keep coming back no matter how much you clean.

When we inspected the property, we found several conditions that could support fly activity.
There were outdoor trash areas close to the home, moisture near exterior spaces, food residue around high-use areas and easy entry points near doors and windows. These small issues can all work together and create a steady fly problem.
That is why fly control is not only about treating the flies you see. It is also about finding what is attracting them in the first place.

For this service, we focused on identifying the source of the activity before recommending treatment.
First, we inspected the areas where flies were most active. This included the kitchen area, drains, trash areas, patio spaces, windows, doors and outdoor gathering points.
Next, we looked for conditions that could be attracting them, such as moisture, food residue, waste areas and possible breeding spots.
Once we understood the issue, we created a treatment plan focused on the active areas and the conditions supporting the problem. We also shared prevention steps the homeowner could use to help reduce future activity.
After service, the homeowner had a clearer understanding of why the flies were showing up and what needed to change to help keep them from returning.
The treatment helped reduce the active fly problem, but the prevention steps were just as important. With flies, small changes around trash, drains, food areas and entry points can make a big difference.

Keep trash bins sealed and cleaned regularly.
Clean food spills and crumbs quickly.
Check drains and moisture areas.
Remove pet waste and organic debris.
Keep doors and windows closed when possible.
Repair damaged screens.
Avoid leaving food outside for long periods.
Clean patios and outdoor eating areas regularly.

Fly problems are usually not random.
A lot of the time, flies are connected to food, moisture, trash, drains or outdoor conditions around the property. If those conditions stay the same, the flies can keep coming back even after treatment.
That is why we always look beyond the obvious. We want to know what is attracting them and where they are coming from.

If you are noticing flies around your home, business or outdoor space in Chubbuck & South Eastern Idaho, do not wait until the problem gets worse.
A quick inspection can help identify the source and give you a better plan for reducing activity.
